Udinsky Ostrog, Odigitrievsky Cathedral and Rinpoche Bagsha

Welcome to Ulan-Ude, the capital of Buryatia! On arrival, our guide meets you and accompanies to the hotel for accommodation. After that, we start our excursion program with Ulan-Ude city tour. You will visit Udinsky Ostrog, the place where the city was founded by Russian Cossacks in the 17th century. The highlight of the city is an unusual monument to Lenin at Soviet Square. It is the biggest Lenin’s head monument in the world. After visiting the Square, you will go down to the historic center of the city. There we will see Odigitrievsky cathedral – an example of Siberian baroque, famous for eastern origin’s implements in the decoration. The Merchants’ area with the trading yard and picturesque merchant’s houses are also worth visiting. We will have a walking tour through pedestrian Lenin’s street, also known as Arbat. In the evening we will head to the Buddhist temple Rinpoche Bagsha where holds the best look point to the city with a panoramic view. Witnessing the sunset plunging down onto the city leaves unforgettable memories.

Our excursion program will be finished with dinner at the restaurant with a Cossack folk show, colorful and very energetic.
