This journey is a great opportunity to cover so many different and distant Russian cities at once, to see the famous wonders of nature, to get acquainted with different cultures and peoples. However, be prepared that it is not relaxing: a lot of time on the train awaits you. Though we are sure you will enjoy it: Russian fellow travelers will not let you get bored!
We diversify long train journeys with visits to the most interesting cities on the route. During the trip, you will visit Orthodox Vatican, see the burial site of the Russian Tsar Family, walk in the Russian Silicon Valley and, of course, you will be able to take a bath at the Baikal lake!

1st day of the itinerary
Our tour starts at the capital, at the heart of Russia – Moscow. This city will let you touch and get closer to the Russian soul and make your heart beating in the rhythm of this modern megapolis. The transfer will pick you up at the airport and take to the hotel.
2nd day of the itinerary
An hour and a half drive from Moscow takes you to Sergiyev Posad – a beautiful small city in the north-east of the Moscow region. There you will have a chance to visit the Trinity-Sergiyev Lavra, one of the most revered Russian shrines, the center of Russian Orthodoxy. The Trinity Cathedral of the 15th century contains the relics of St. Sergius. An artel of masters led by Andrei Rublev worked on the interior painting of the church. By the way, it was for this cathedral that he wrote his famous Trinity, which is now in the State Tretyakov Gallery.
After the excursion, you will have a chance to try local food and drinks during lunch. Then you will get on the way back to Moscow. The guide will make you a panoramic tour which includes visits of Victory Park, the panoramic point at Sparrow Hills, and, of course, Red Square.
3rd & 4th days of the itinerary
The morning of the third day will start with free leisure time. You will be able to have some rest before long and saturated way to East. In the evening you will be seated on a train to Yekaterinburg that drives up to 27 hours. Upon arrival in Yekaterinburg, you will be transferred to the hotel to have a rest after long hours spent on the train.
5th day of the itinerary
Yekaterinburg is the city that links Europe and Asia. You will spend the fifth day of the tour in its suburbs and visit the Nevyansk town. Nevyansk Icon Museum offers you the unique collection of Russian icons that includes more than 300 masterpieces. You will also have a chance to see the mysterious Leaning Tower of Nevyansk. After that, you will have a free lunch and the way back to Yekaterinburg.
6th day of the itinerary
We’ll start our day with a city tour. You will drive through the center of the city, see the sinister Ipatiev House where the imperial family was imprisoned and later executed. The tour will be followed by a stopover at the famous Shigir Collection with the oldest wooden sculpture in the world: the Shigir Idol has probably been made about 9 500 years ago. After the short independent lunch break city tour will be continued with a photo-stop on a site between Europe and Asia. Later this day you will also see the burial site of the last Russian Tsar at an abandoned mine Ganina Yama (“Ganya’s Pit”). The day will be finished with a transfer to the railway station to continue your trip through the country.
7th day of the itinerary
You will spend the day on the journey from Yekaterinburg to Novosibirsk that lasts around 23 hours. Get off the train, you will be transferred to the hotel.
8th day of the itinerary
Novosibirsk is the largest city of Asian Russia and is informally known as the “Capital of Siberia”. Firstly, you will have some leisure time and later the guide will show you some famous spots. The city tour will show you the typical Russian Izba (wooden house) and the main monuments of Novosibirsk, including St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, dedicated to Tsar Alexander the Third who initiated the foundation of the Trans-Siberian Railway which resulted in the creation of Novosibirsk as a new train station.
9th day of the itinerary
The first site of the day will be Akademgorodok – the science city of Novosibirsk. The following spot willbe the local zoo located in the pine forest and accommodated more than 10 thousand animals with more than 300 endangered species. The day will continue with traditional lunch to gain strength for a trip to Irkutsk.
10th day of the itinerary
The day will be spent on the train due to the long distance between Novosibirsk and Irkutsk.
11th day of the itinerary
Irkutsk is the commercial, cultural, manufacturing & scientific center of the Eastern Siberia. Starting from a city tour that includes the Kirov’s central square, Karl Marx’ street, district 130 with its historic and modern wooden buildings, the Angara river quay, Znamensky convent, you will continue with an independent lunch that allows you to get submerged in the atmosphere of authentic Russia with a visit to Listvyanka. On the way there you will make a stopover in the Taltsy Museum – an open-air collection of Siberian traditional architecture.
12th day of the itinerary
Don’t worry, we won’t leave the main attraction of the Siberia unattended. You will visit the Baikal museum, take a short lunch, and have a one-hour long cruise across the lake. This huge lake contains approximately 20% of the world’s supplies of freshwater! Afterward, you will set off back to Irkutsk.
13th day of the itinerary
The day begins with a transfer to the train for departure to Khabarovsk. The way to the West will be about 60 hours long.
14th & 15th days of the itinerary
Full day 14 you’ll spend on board the train enjoyng charming veiws from the window.
You will arrive in Khabarovsk in the afternoon of Day 15. The city is considered the most breathtaking one in the Asian part of the Trans-Siberian root. After a long time on the train, you will have a transfer to the hotel for some rest.
16th day of the itinerary
The day will start with a city tour around Khabarovsk. You will be offered to visit the Amursky Boulevard, local markets, the zoo, and other touristic spots of the city as Transfiguration and Dormition cathedrals and the Ethnographic Museum of Khabarovsk.
