Krasnaya Polyana is a fashionable urban-type village in the Caucasus Mountains and an alpine ski resort. On its territory, there are several ski resorts including “Rosa Khutor”, where the 2014 Winter Olympics were held. There are plenty of modern restaurants, fashionable pubs, and bars for relaxing after skiing.

Krasnaya Polyana offers lots of different activities in summer too. You can walk along hiking trails and admire natural beauties in the village surroundings or visit the ancient dolmens of Krasnaya Polyana and the ruins of Achipsse fortress located in the forest or spend time in a rope park.

Great Location and Favorable Climatic Conditions

The location of Sochi has created very favorable climatic conditions: mountain peaks close the city from the cold north and east winds, and the sea warms the coast up with mild, humid air. In the summer the average air temperature in Sochi is +27°С, the temperature of seawater is about + 25°С. There is no winter as the average winter air temperature rarely drops below +10°С.
