Khan's Palace and Chersonesus Taurica

Welcome to Crimea! After your arrival in Simferopol, the excursion program will begin. On a comfortable bus, we will start our Crimean adventure from Khan’s Palace, one of the best-known Muslim palaces in Europe. Built in the 16th century, it was the residence of the Crimean Tatar Khans during the existence of the Crimean Khanate. The architectural ensemble contains the Main Mosque, the Falcon Tower, the Palace of the Khans, and some other buildings.

In the afternoon we will visit Chersonesus Taurica, an ancient city founded by the Greeks in the 5th century B.C. It came to desolation after the raids of the nomads. In this place, ancient mosaics, excavations of theater, numerous basilicas, and households of the town have been preserved. You will also see St. Vladimir Cathedral where Prince Vladimir was baptized in 988 and then brought Christianity to the Kievan Rus. In the evening we will arrive at the hotel in Sevastopol for overnight.
