1^st day of the itinerary

Yantarny village and Svetlogorsk

Welcome to Kaliningrad, an extraordinary city with a very interesting history. It takes about 2 hours by plane from Moscow and 1.5 hours by plane from St. Petersburg to reach this beautiful region. The program on Day 1 is rather tight, therefore tourists should arrive early in the morning (till 9 am) or the day before.

In the morning we have sightseeing in Yantarny village. It is the largest amber-mining quarry in the world. Tourists will see an enormous quarry where 90% of amber of the world is extracted and manufactured where pieces of amber are transformed into jewellery. They can also buy amber jewellery products at a favourable price there.

Afterward, we depart to Svetlogorsk, a small and very attractive town, bathed by the waters of the Baltic Sea. This town is famous for its beautiful beaches, spas, fresh air, pine forests, clubs, and beautiful architectural constructions. At the end of the day, we return to Kaliningrad for overnight.

2^nd day of the itinerary

Curonian Spitand Kaliningrad Museum of the World Ocean

The next day we have our sightseeing tour in Kaliningrad, we are going to visit the Museum of the World Ocean. This Museum consists of mighty expositions of the historical Russian nuclear icebreaker fleet, navy, and fishing fleet. We go inside of the B-413 submarine, which stands out from other ships-museums. There are not many submarines all over the world that everyone can get into: to see how everything is arranged there, to be surprised by small sizes of cabins and narrow passages, and look at the surroundings through the periscope. Afterward, we visit the coastal museum complex, which consists of the exposition with amazing aquariums, collections of sea mollusk shells, live fish and corals, nautical charts, geological and paleontological samples.

In the afternoon, we depart for Curonian Spit (in Russian – Kurshksaya Kosa) – the unique sight of Kaliningrad Region. It’s almost 100 km long, a thin sand-dune part of the land, situated in two countries: Russia & Lithuania. Tourists will see the mysterious dancing forest, the oldest in Europe ornithological station and famous dune Efa. Every year the Curonian Spit attracts travellers all over the world thanks to the unique preservation of its amazing natural landscapes, which leave nobody indifferent. After visiting Curonian Spit we go back to Kaliningrad.

3^rd day of the itinerary

Kant Island and Cathedral of Kaliningrad

In the morning we continue our Kaliningrad city tour, including Kant Island and Riverside, consisting of the Kaliningrad Cathedral, the former Stock Exchange, interesting shops, restaurants, and hotels, called Fish Village. During a walking tour along the Fish Village and the Pregoli River tourists will get acquainted with the beautiful architecture of the old city. The 31-meter-high lighthouse is a must-see of the Fish Village, tourists can go upstairs and enjoy a breath-taking city view. A must-do at the lighthouse is to rub the egg of the Bird of Happiness for luck.

Afterward, we pay a visit to the Cathedral of Kaliningrad. That is considered to be a very beautiful symbol of the city. In 1804 the great philosopher Immanuel Kant was buried there. The Cathedral has great art-architectural and historic meaning. Moreover, every day in the afternoon tourists can enjoy the music of the largest organ in Europe (6000 pipes) in an amazing hall of the Cathedral with a capacity of 700 people.
