During 4 day-journey tourists will visit major Golden Ring cities and find out more about religious masterpieces, an ancient mode of life of Russian people and craft traditions. The route won’t leave anyone indifferent.

1st day of the itinerary
From Moscow tourists will be transferred to the first city of the Golden Ring route – Vladimir. The city was formerly a powerful center of the North-Eastern Rus and even Moscow was one of its suburbs at those times.
Tourists will get acquainted with several sites in Vladimir. They will visit Dormition Cathedral where ancient frescoes of magnificent Russian icon painters (e.g. Andrey Rublev) and relics of Great Martyrs are kept, check Golden Gates – the unique architectural monument and symbol of ancient defensive structure and Cathedral of Saint Demetrius – its magnificent openwork carving on the white stone walls occupies an outstanding place in the architecture of the North-Eastern Russia of the 12th century.
Then tourists will move on to the next city – Suzdal, famous for its astonishing historical architecture. Tourists will see the town’s Kremlin that keeps unique masterpieces of Ancient Russian Art and Architecture and Monastery of Saint Euthymius – built in the 14th century and known for its amazing church bells. They will also have a chance to walk around the Museum of Wooden Architecture and take amazing pictures in front of the best wooden constructions (built without any nails) of the 18th-19th centuries.
2nd day of the itinerary
The second day of the program starts in Kostroma – the small quiet town on the river Volga known for the birthplace of Snegurochka – the granddaughter of Ded Moroz.
Tourists will check such must-see spots as Holy trinity Hipatian Monastery with its miraculous icons and relics of Great Martyrs and Museum of Wooden Architecture (optional) – beautiful wooden constructions of 18th-20th centuries.
Not far from Kostroma the pearl of the Golden Ring and the center of Russian merchants is located – Yaroslavl. There are more than 800 monuments with Saviour monastery – a favorite monastery of Tsar Ivan the Terrible and Church of Elijah the Prophet among the greatest ones.
3rd day of the itinerary
Today tourists will visit Rostov the Great and Pereslavl-Zalessky.
Trip to Rostov the Great serves as a time machine. The calm surface of the lake Nero, ancient monasteries, the majesty of Kremlin helps to transfer back to the times when orthodox religion appeared, and Rus took its beginning. Tourists will visit the Rostov Kremlin which is even older than Moscow Kremlin and Museum of Decorated Russian Enamel (optional) which unique products and secrets of enamel decorating technology are famous all over the world.
From Rostov tourists will get to the next city – Pereslavl-Zalessky. There are a lot of old stories and legends about Pereslavl-Zalessky. One of them is about Peter the Great who built the fleet there and made city the cradle of the Russian fleet. The full story tourists will hear at Peter the Great`s Boat Museum-Estate “Botik”. Apart from the museum, they will visit Goritsky Monastery which is considered to be one of the most beautiful monasteries of the town.
4th day of the itinerary
Last but not the least stop on the route is Sergiev Posad – a beloved city of pilgrims.
Majesty of the largest male monastery in Russia – Holy Trinity Lavra – hits right in the heart. Pearl of Russian Orthodox Church, also called “Russian Vatikan”, with relics of Great Martyr Sergius of Radonezh is considered to be one of the greatest orthodox shrines in Russia. Take a rest from the religious part of the route and enjoy painting master-class of the Matryoshka dolls in the Matryoshka Museum (optional).
Leaving Sergiev Posad, tourists will head back to Moscow.
