Let's Explore the RussianStone Belt

In the 5-day tour, you will visit Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Ural Region, get acquainted with Ural icon tradition and pilgrimage center. You will stand on the border between Europe and Asia and squirt a few tears for the last Russian Tsar and his family. You will also learn how mining technology is organized and dive into the childhood of the outstanding Composer Peter Tchaikovsky. But these are not all your adventures in the Urals. 1^st day of the itinerary

Yekaterinburg City Tour andRomanov's Sites

Welcome to Yekaterinburg! The first day will include a tour around the main attractions of Yekaterinburg, the Historical City site, and the central square. You will visit the Church of All Saints, built in honour of the last Emperor`s family, who were canonized as saints. The church is located on the site of Ipatiev House, where the Romanovs spent their last days and were executed.

After lunch, you will proceed to another pilgrimage site – Ganina Yama monastery, where the Romanovs were buried. The monastery complex has seven wooden churches, which symbolize seven members of the royal family.

Afterward, you will be transferred to the borderline between Europe and Asia. Later we will come back to Yekaterinburg, have dinner, and spend the night at the hotel.

2^nd day of the itinerary

Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Nevyansk andTavolgi

The second excursion day will begin with the visit to a major Russian museum of automobile and military equipment located at the town Verkhnyaya Pyshma not far from Yekaterinburg.

Today you will also visit a beautiful old town – Nevyansk, the center of the Ural icon tradition. The main attraction of the town is the Nevyansk Leaning tower of the 18th century, financed by Peter the Great and a widely-known manufacturer Akinfy Demidov. Later, you will also visit the Nevyansk Icon Museum.

After lunch, you will be transferred to Tavolgi village, famous for its red clay pottery. During the workshop, you will learn the secrets of its production.

In the evening you will depart to Nizhny Tagil (55 km) for dinner and overnight.

3^rd day of the itinerary

Verkhoturye and Nizhniy Tagil

The program of the 3rd day includes a visit to Nizhny Tagil – the industrial center of the Ural region. You will see a plant of the 18th century, turned to the History of Mining technology Museum. Later you will visit the Fox mountain with a stunning panoramic city view, and Demidovs’ house-museum, where you can get acquainted with the Demidovs` family, who have made a huge contribution to the development of industry and culture of the Ural region and Russia.

After lunch, you will drive to Verkhoturye (160 km), the spiritual and pilgrimage center of the region. You will have a sightseeing tour with a visit to the Kremlin.
In the evening you will go to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

4^th day of the itinerary

Nizhnyaya Sinyachikha andAlapaevsk

In the morning we will go to the open-air Museum of Wooden Architecture in Nizhnyaya Sinyachikha, which exhibits a unique collection of Ural house painting, textiles, and huts interior.

After lunch, you will have a transfer to Alapaevsk (17 km). Do you know what Alapaevsk is famous for? That’s the place where the great Russian composer Peter Tchaikovsky spent his childhood. You will enter the Tchaikovsky house-museum, where you will see a rich collection of musical instruments all over the world.
After the visit, you will go to the hotel, have dinner and spend overnight.

5^th day of the itinerary

Yekaterinurg, Berezovsky andLipovsky Quarry

The final day includes a visit to the museum of the Urals Gemstone, the Lipovsky quarry, and you will try to collect mineral samples.

After lunch, you will head to Berezovsky (70 km). Here you will visit the Museum of Gold Mine and have a master class in gold training mine.

Now our program comes to the end. We will arrange a transfer to the airport in Yekaterinburg for your flight, and hope that you will enjoy travelling with us.
