Food is a language that can be understood by all nationalities. Getting acquainted with local cuisine makes it easier to understand the country: its culture and its soul. Food is what everybody loves. For these reasons, culinary tourism gets more and more popular every year.

Russia is a country with an extensive culinary tradition. Everybody associates our country with caviar, “Borscht” soup, pancakes, Pelmeni (Russian dumplings), and, of course, vodka. All these and other delicious things will be tasted by you during the tour.

Moreover, in 2021 Russia became the 35th country that was included in the famous Michelin guide of the best restaurants in the world. Michelin gives one star to those restaurants, where dishes of haute cuisine are worthy of special attention. Two stars are given to the restaurants, for which an extra stop is needed during the trip. Three stars are awarded to ones, which deserve a separate trip. In total 9 Moscow restaurants were awarded one and two Michelin stars, and in this itinerary, we offer you to visit one of such places to feel yourself a participant of a real gastronomic theatre.

1^st day of the itinerary

Legendary Borscht & Russian Vodka with Red and Black Caviar

Today you will get acquainted with the Russian capital Moscow and will visit the best-known sights in Russia – Kremlin with its cathedrals and the Red Square. After the city tour, you will start your culinary adventure with lunch at Michelin restaurant “Savva”, where you can taste Russian cuisine including the legendary soup Borscht with duck and cherries, also Boar cutlet with potato cream and spinach, or Sturgeon with pickled beets.

After lunch, you will visit the Vodka museum and will taste this famous alcohol with red and black caviar as a snack. The dinner will be organized in a restaurant “Matreshka” with traditional Russian dishes. The menu of the restaurant includes such Russian meals as “Olivier” salad, Varenyky, Russian small pie, “Pozharskaya” cutlet, etc.

2^nd day of the itinerary

Chocolate Paradise, Self-made Pancakes & Shashlik

This day will be started with a visit to the real chocolate factory. You will visit the museum of chocolate, the confectionery production area, and, of course, taste the freshly made chocolate.

Our lunch will take place in one of the most famous food markets in Moscow, Depo, located in the historical building – tram parking of 19th century. Here you can try meals from any cuisine in the world. This place is also very instagramable so don’t lose a chance to make a great photo and share it with your friends.

After lunch, you will ride outside the city and find yourself in the countryside. It is a perfect place to admire nature, experience a Russian sauna (called Banya), and go fishing. The hosts of the country house will organize Russian pancakes making master class. After all these activities in the fresh air, you will be hungry for sure. For this dinner, you will taste pancakes made by yourself, Russian BBQ (called Shashlik), and Plov.

3^rd day of the itinerary

Pelmeni & Kamchatka Crab

We are moving to the cultural capital of Russia – St Petersburg. For this lunch, you will try one of the most delicious things in the world – Kamchatka crab. After lunch, you will proceed for a city tour of this beautiful city.

Before enjoying the dinner you will cook the main part of it by yourself! An experienced cook will provide Russian dumplings (called Pelmeni) making master class and help you to make Pelmeni. You will try them during dinner.

4^th day of the itinerary

Imperial-style,Luxurious Restaurant

Today you will visit the must-see sights of St Petersburg – Hermitage museum and Peterhof palace and park. The palaces amaze everyone by the historical charm and luxury. The fountains of Peterhof are famous all over the world. During lunch, you will try Chicken Kiev.

The farewell dinner will take place in Russian Ampir restaurant. It is located in one of the oldest and most luxurious palaces in St Petersburg – the Stroganov Palace. This palace used to be the center of the city cultural life in the 18th century. The design of the restaurant and its cuisine are truly imperial. As the main course, you will taste original fillet beef Stroganoff named after one of the owners of the palace.
