On the Banks of the Volga River 

Have a lovely leisurely walk along the Volga river promenade and later experience a cable car ride over this beautiful river. Get acquainted with the historical part of the city including the Kremlin and ancient Pechersky Ascension Monastery. Spend a separate day in a neighbor town Gorodets and fall in love with its pretty little houses.

1st day of the itinerary

City Tour, Kremlinand Rukavishnikov Museum

Welcome to Nizhny Novgorod! It is a city situated on the bank of the Volga river, one of the biggest rivers in the world. It is not far from Moscow, just 4 hours by a high-speed train. Upon arrival get ready for a city tour covering the main sights: Nizhny Novgorod Fair that used to be the center of commerce in Europe, Rozhdestvenskaya street that has preserved 19th-century architecture, Zapochainia district.

After the city tour, we will visit Rukavishnikov museum-estate to learn how the richest merchants used to live.

In the second part of the day, you will visit the most famous sight of Nizhniy Novgorod – Kremlin. We will end this wonderful day with a leisurely walk along the Volga promenade.
